     An introduction to the study and practice of philosophical argument, focusing on some traditional philosophical questions: What determines the difference between right and wrong? Do we have an obligation to obey the law? Is there a world external to me? If so, how could I ever have knowledge of it? The goal of the course will be to develop skills in understanding and criticizing philosophical arguments.


  • WATU: Fulfills 1/2 of college writing requirement.
  • General Requirement II: History & Tradition.
