  • My research focuses on Ancient Greek and Roman philosophy. I am interested in the natural philosophy of the period, especially that of Aristotle and the Stoics. I also work on Greek and Roman ethics and have recently publishes Ancient Ethics (Routledge 2008) a systematic treatment of Plato’s, Aristotle’s, Epicurean, and Stoic ethics which is designed to serve the interests both of students of ancient philosophy and of specialists in contemporary ethics who seek to understand the differences between Ancient and modern ethical philosophy.
